Tholu Bommalata is the leather puppetry of Andhra Pradesh, and these puppets carry that tradition into a square 12 x 12 inch format meant for the wall rather than the screen. Each piece is handcrafted in leather and follows traditional folk design.
The size suits a single display or a small grouping, and works as everyday home decor as much as festive decoration. Read together, the pieces make a cultural display that keeps a performance craft visible at home.
