Two decorative lanterns made from wood and glass, each surface painted by hand in the Kalighat folk art tradition of West Bengal. The colours are bright and the detailing fine, and because every piece is painted individually, no two sets match exactly.
The lantern silhouette suits living rooms, cafes and festive corners, and the pair travels well as a gift for anyone drawn to Indian folk painting. Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep the lanterns away from excessive moisture, and handle the glass sections gently.
