Karnataka Handpainted Lord Shiva Silhouette Acrylic Canvas Painting – Sunrise (10 × 22 Inches)

Mahadev stands in silhouette with the Trishul in hand, set against a sunrise that fills the narrow canvas behind him. The painting is done by hand in acrylic colours on canvas, a handpainting tradition carried on by artisans in Karnataka, so the detailing differs a little from one piece to the next.

The figure is read as a sign of strength, protection, enlightenment and divine energy, and the rising sun behind it as hope, enlightenment and divine energy. At 10 × 22 inches in vertical orientation, it suits slim stretches of wall in a living room, pooja room, office, meditation corner or temple space.

Often chosen as a gift for Mahashivratri, Diwali, housewarmings, weddings and anniversaries. One painting is included.
