A black shawl handwoven in Himachal Pradesh from 100% natural sheep wool, with the double border that gives it its name: two bands of geometric motifs drawn from Himachali symbolism, woven along the edges. The double border takes more time and skill at the loom than a single one, and the edges are finished by hand with traditional tassels.
The wool is naturally warm and breathable, and the fabric is soft enough to drape over the shoulders for long stretches — winter days, festivals and formal ethnic occasions alike. It is unisex, and because each shawl is woven by hand, the motifs and finish vary a little from one to the next.
