Kashmiri Black Shawl with Aari Embroidery

A black shawl in Semi Pashmina, worked over two months by Kashmiri artisans. The dark ground carries Aari embroidery in detailed floral motifs, stitched in contrasting colours so the work reads clearly across the cloth, with a golden thread-work border running along the edges.

Aari embroidery is a hooked-needle tradition of Jammu & Kashmir, and here the hand thread-work continues throughout the shawl rather than sitting only at the borders. The Semi Pashmina fabric drapes softly and adds a light measure of warmth. Made in standard size.
