Himachali Handwoven Multicolour Traditional Cap (Pahadi Topi)

A traditional Pahadi cap woven by hand from wool, with a patterned band running around the base in red, green, blue, yellow, pink and white. The geometric motifs follow Pahadi design as it has been passed down through generations, and the textured grey crown sits quietly against the colour below. An earthy brown border finishes the edge.

The cap measures roughly 19 to 20 cm across and 8 to 9 cm high, with a head circumference of about 56 to 58 cm, a standard adult fit. As with anything made by hand, small variations occur from cap to cap.

Himachali handloom weaving of this kind comes from Himachal Pradesh, where the topi is worn at festivals, weddings, folk performances and cultural gatherings, as well as every day. Dry clean only.
