Blacksmiths in Punjab forge each of these blades one at a time, working carbon steel known as Sarabloh. The hammering runs along the blade without interruption, and the profile is single-edged with a full tang and a black finish. The handle is teak wood. The scabbard is a raw wooden cover with a Rexine finish and a stainless steel element.

A dagger of this kind goes by several names — Kirpan, Khanjar, Peshkabaz — and belongs to India's martial, religious and metalworking heritage. The edge is left blunt, so the pair suits ceremonial and religious use, symbolic wear, martial arts and HEMA practice, and cultural or heritage display. Two sizes are made: 9 inches, weighing 250 grams, and 12 inches, weighing 330 grams. Blade width can be seen in the product images. Since every blade is individually forged, daily output stays small.
